The Green Program

Description

The Green Program is a travel abroad and service-based experience geared towards renewable energy and sustainable practices around the globe. 

Roles

I attended their Peru trip and explored sustainable water management through community engagement, industry exposure, sustainable solutions, and global water stewardship. I toured the countryside of Peru visiting small villages and constructing water filtration systems. After the program finished, I traveled independently and learned more about the history and culture of Peru.

Takeaways

I learned to value the practices of different cultures and was inspired by the work of ancient humans. I expanded my comfort zone through exhilarating adventures and unique experiences throughout Peru. This experience defined my passion to preserve the environment and become an environmental engineer.
